The new Passat will be a mid size sedan that is all about comfort when cruising, but also with a sporty character. The suspension can be on Comfort, for maximum comfort when driving, on Normal for everyday use, and Sport for maximum performance. The new design of the Passat 2012 brought some visibility issues, you will need to set your driving position precisely for seeing in the mirrors; despite that the all round visibility is great in the new Passat.

For the rear seats there is a 230V outlet which is a must in this segment car. The navigation system is very good a precise and will never let you down if you have the right maps. Premieres in the Passat 2012 are the automated adjustable headlights, the electro mirror, the windshield that reduces noise when driving; all this systems make life easier when driving long distances. It seems that the designers are scared of bringing something new to the Passat , they have included in the new one the conservationism that has been in the Passat since 1973, but despite all that the Passat is a succes.
In North America the new Passat 2012 will start from $20,000, which is a bargain considering all the features and the competitors. The Passat 2012 wil be a success , especially in the US.
